Building a Lifelong Love and Connection with the Qur’an

Our Qur’an Memorisation Programme is a structured three-year journey designed for young children to begin their relationship with the Qur’an through joyful, movement-based learning. Using kinesthetic and multi-sensory methods, children memorise surahs from Juz ‘Amma and selected surahs while exploring their meanings through simple tafsīr, stories, and daily life applications.

Each stage builds upon the previous, nurturing not only memorisation and pronunciation, but also love, discipline, and adab towards the Qur’an. Lessons are interactive, engaging, and filled with movement, rhythm, and storytelling — making Qur’an learning a memorable and heart-warming experience for every child.

Programme Overview

Year 1 (Phase 1) – From An-Naas to Ad-Duhaa

Children begin with short surahs from the end of Juz ‘Amma, developing strong listening and memorisation habits through movement, rhythm, and repetition. Simple tafsīr and stories help them understand key Qur’anic values such as gratitude, kindness, and seeking Allah’s protection.

Year 2 (Phase 2) – From Ad-Duhaa to An-Naba’

Building on their foundation, students continue memorising mid-length surahs, deepening their understanding of Allah’s creation, accountability, and the beauty of good deeds. Lessons focus on tajwīd basics, confidence in recitation, and connecting the meanings of verses to their lives.

Year 3 (Phase 3) – Surah Yā Sīn, Al-Mulk, and Selected Surahs

The final stage strengthens fluency and endurance in memorisation through longer surahs. Students reflect on deeper themes — faith, gratitude, and the remembrance of Allah — while revisiting and perfecting earlier memorisations.

Note on Progression

While the programme follows a structured progression, the number of surahs each child memorises ultimately depends on the child’s individual pace, readiness, and ability. Every learner is supported to progress confidently and comfortably at their own level.
